Jason was born after 19 years of his parents trying to have a child. The second hybrid child of the family, Jason grew up being the only vaewolf in existence. His werewolf father, Knight, made an effort to keep Jason from feeling lonely, since the two of them weren’t welcome in other wolf packs. Jason would run with Knight whenever he shifted during the full moon, and it became a pastime between the two.

His older sister, Kitty, always treated him with love, since the two of them understood what it was like to be the only one of your kind. He didn't understand why she started resenting his father, and it drove a rift between them.

When the world was destroyed by vampire drones, Jason was taken away by Balthazar to protect him while his parents tried to fix the destruction before it went too far. Balthazar took him to a remote island, but was then arrested by the Incubi and taken away, leaving the still teenage Jason on his own. He escaped the island, had a few close calls with humans, and then spent years in isolation before being discovered by his grandmother, Anastasia.

In the new timeline, Jason was conceived a second time using a potion the witches made for Lisbeth so her children would be brought back to her. The potion had unintended side effects when used on a vampire, making Lisbeth become pregnant with her first three children all at once.

New Jason is a triplet, born at the same time as his sisters, Kitty and Dreya. All three have magically altered DNA, making them age rapidly, and giving them magical abilities. At five years old, the triplets were fully grown.
