Full Name Anastasia Bathory
Nickname Ana Birth year 1579 Species Vampire Abilities Manipulation, telekinesis Sexual orientation Bisexual Nationality Transylvanian Hair Color Black Eye Color Purple Significant Other Nicolas, Marie Children Lisbeth Great-grandchildren Kitty, Jason, Dreya, Gwen, Killian, Caelum Parents Erzsébet, Gaius Anastasia is a first generation Born Vampire, the daughter of the Countess of Bathory and the Incubus, Gaius. She has an immortal twin, Clara, who was only born because their mother drank human blood during her pregnancy.
Anastasia grew up split between the vampire and human world, feeling superior in both because she's the daughter of a Count, and she has powerful vampiric abilities. She can manipulate people, she has telekinesis, and the more blood she drinks, the more powerful she becomes. Her best friend, Lucas, has always been in love with her, but she was not interested in him, so she just played with his emotions. Ana eventually met a werewolf named Nicolas, and they fell deeply in love, the closest thing to fated mates a werewolf can have. But even though Lycans and vampires were friends at the time, a romantic relationship between the two species was not allowed. Nicolas and Anastasia went before the vampire and Lycan leaders to ask for permission to marry. The leaders said no, going so far as to say the lovers were not to see each other again. Nicolas got enraged, and there was a fight that resulted in him accidentally being killed by the elders. Seeing him die made Anastasia miscarry their child she didn't realize she was carrying. Ana was destroyed, and she vowed to make them pay. Vampire blood law meant Ana could kill the elders for killing Nicolas, with no repercussions, and because they were leaders of packs and covens, everyone under their command could also be killed. Ana decided to destroy them in a way they would never recover from. After sending Lucas away to protect her sister, Ana allied with the Lycans, manipulating them into a war against vampires. She started to collect vampire fangs on a bracelet, and when other Lycans copied the idea, they became a symbol of protection. If Ana had her bracelet on, the Lycans wouldn't attack her. She used them to slaughter all the vampires that were over 50 years old, leaving behind only a few dozen vampires to pick up the pieces after her vengeance was spent. Once she was done, she turned on the Lycans and slaughtered them too. A broken Ana returned to her mother's home and found Lucas had fallen in love with Clara while she was gone. Ana went comatose with grief, and came out of it one night where she begged Lucas to make her feel alive again. He knew she was manipulating him, but he said yes out of love for her, even if he loved Clara now. They had sex, and it resulted in Ana becoming with child. Clara was angry at the betrayal, and unwilling to forgive him at first. Ana gave birth to a girl, and wanted to name the baby after her mother, but Erzsebet insisted she must have an English name so the other vampires won't know who she is. Erzsébet's ex lover, the Incubus Balthazar, took the baby away, and Ana fell comatose again, unaware of what happened to her family after that. She is eventually woken up when Lisbeth returns to her 400 years later, but she is an outlaw to the other vampires, and chooses to stay away to keep her daughter safe, even after Lisbeth pardons her for her crimes. Anastasia is alone when the vampire drone apocalypse begins, but she eventually comes upon her grandson, Jason, who she had never met before. Jason has been in complete isolation for several years, and Anastasia stays with him, raising her grandson for her daughter, in the way she never could for her own child. Once he's old enough, Ana leaves him to search for Alistair, the one who destroyed everything, but she returns when she can to check in on him. She meets and falls in love with Marie, the stuffy secretary Lisbeth always hated, who has now become a compassionate tough woman in the apocalypse. |
