Full Name Arthur Lancaster
Nickname Artie (only his sister) Titles Doctor, Duke, General Birth year 1770 Species Vampire Abilities Fighting, strength Sexual orientation Bisexual Nationality American Hair Color Blonde Eye Color Blue Ex-Spouse Adriann Spouses Lisbeth, Knight, Balthazar Children Kitty, Jason, Dreya, Gwen, Killian, Caelum Parents John, Margaret Siblings Caroline Arthur was born just before the revolutionary war began in the United States. When he was 15, his older sister, Caroline, went into a blood rage and supposedly died along with his parents. Arthur had no other family, and grew up alone.
In 1806, he was traveling in Europe and attended a masquerade ball where he met a masked vampire woman, and fell in love with her instantly. She disappeared just before he could ask her name, leaving him crestfallen, and though he searched for her, he could never find her again. His lonely upbringing, coupled with losing the first woman he wanted to keep, had him wandering aimlessly for many decades until he joined the vampire Hunters, the vampires tasked with keeping the laws, and punishing those who break them. Arthur threw himself into this new role, taking it so seriously, it ended up backfiring on him. A few decades later, Arthur met and fell in love with a vampire named Adriann. They spent the next few decades together, and she eventually became with child. Their nomad lifestyle did not provide Adriann with enough blood for her pregnancy, and she attacked humans in a blood frenzy, breaking vampire law. Arthur had upheld vampire law and duty for so many years, he did not see any other option other than executing his lover for her crime. Doing this, losing his family for a second time, destroyed every ounce of humanity he had left. His job had ruined him for normal life, he could never go back. This was all he had, all he was. Arthur's personality dissolved, and he no longer had relationships beyond those that worked below him in the Hunter ranks. Olivier was his second in command, because she was the only vampire that stood up to him, believing she would keep him in line if he ever strayed from his duties. The two eventually became lovers when they were working an espionage mission to end world war two. There was no love between them, the relationship was strictly physical. Olivier began to realize that being this close to Arthur was causing her to lose her empathy, and she left the Hunters for good. It disappointed him, and hurt him deep inside, knowing he was a horrible person now. He went into solitude for the next half a century, only speaking out loud five times total in that amount of time. His solitude ended when he was enlisted to help track down a young woman that broke vampire law, only to discover she was the woman he fell in love with in 1806. |
