Leticia met and fell in love with a witch named Colette. They married, and wanted to have children, and Colette recommends her co-worker and friend, Riker, to be the father.

Leticia gives birth to a daughter and names her Violet. Leticia eventually discovers that Colette has been manipulating her, and they get a divorce, then Leticia leaves with Violet.

When Violet is around 12 years old, Leticia meets a woman, Anna, who has twin sons, Guy and Olivander. The twins meet Violet and instantly fall in love with her, though they are not her soulmates. They have an older orphaned cousin, Saul, who is 17, and a chance touching of hands reveals he is Violet's soulmate.
