James grew up in the same coven as Anastasia Bathory, and was infatuated with her to the point of doing anything he could to find her after she slaughtered the majority of vampires and Lycans, and then disappeared without a trace.
He managed to find a bloodied scrap of cloth, belonging to Lucas, Anastasia's only friend, but he didn't have the ability to track him down. James started blood bingeing, hoping it would give him the power to track Lucas, but it only made James forget what he was doing. He settled in a small town in America, and became the ruler over all the humans. One of James' main goals was making dhampir warriors to protect him, which meant mixing with humans, something that was never done. Along the way, he fell in love with a young witch named Sara, and they had a son together before ending their relationship. |
