Galen was a young and arrogant prince who happened upon the fairy, Drusinella, in his travels. After pissing her off, whether by existing or something he said, she turned him into a frog with an unbreakable curse, and brought him to live in her front yard with the other princes turned frogs she had collected.
Galen resented the fairy at first, until years of reflection made him realize he hadn't been kind to her. He slowly began to notice the small things Drusinella did for the frogs to make their lives more comfortable, something a person who has no empathy wouldn't do. He eventually fell in love with her, seeing the good underneath that no one else could.
