Sindair met the wizard Ambrose by chance when her friends traveled to him, hoping he would resurrect their fallen comrade. Sindair thought Ambrose was a massive nerd, but the two soon became lovers. She taught him how to speak Fairy, and spent most of her time at his house. Despite their attraction and prolonged relationship, she refused to commit or move in with him. Even though she cared for him, she eventually broke it off because of Ambrose’s brother, Jasper. Jasper was evil, and she didn’t want to be around when/if Ambrose became like him. This was amplified when Jasper started to exert his control over both witches and beasts alike.

Years after they parted, Sindair heard that Ambrose was offering resurrections in secret, and traveled to his meeting spot to see if it was true. It was, and the two hooked up again, for the last time.

When Sindair started to leave, Ambrose spoke his feelings, telling her he loved her, words she’d made him swear to never say. Not because she didn’t feel the same, because she believed he didn’t mean it.

After Ambrose disappeared and was believed to be dead, Sindair went into hiding in the Fairy realm so no one would be able to extract his secrets from her.
