Astella was born in Argentina and was captured at a young age, then transported to America for species research at a zoo.
A young warlock named Alec happened upon her one day when he was sneaking into restricted areas of the zoo, searching for make-out spots, and he realized she was his witch's familiar. Alec stole the tiny pink fairy armadillo and took her home with him. Astella was by his side as he grew out of his teenage years, spending most of her time in pocket realities while her warlock was kissing anyone he could get his lips on. The trauma she endured before they met kept her from developing speech, instead she sends feelings through their telepathic bond. Appears inNeck-Romancer
