Morpheus
|
Morpheus lived for millennia in the Underworld with his grandmother, Nyx. He had many romantic affairs, but none were serious until he met and fell in love with Iris, the goddess of rainbows. Their brief love affair resulted in the birth of their son, Eryx.
Iris wasn’t interested in being a mother, or being serious with Morpheus, and she left them both behind, leaving Morpheus to raise his son on his own. Because Iris had them move to Olympus, he asked Zeus if he could continue raising his son there. Zeus didn’t like it, given their connection to Nyx, but he agreed, only because Morpheus was his grandson through Pasithea, and Hera considered them family through Iris. Morpheus is still considered an outcast in Olympus, and he and Zeus do not get along because Morpheus isn’t afraid of him. |
